welcome to homebody!
Before your first appointment
You will receive an email from the patient portal with the subject line “Welcome from Homebody Therapy.” You can sign in by clicking the button in the email, and you’ll be redirected to the portal. That’s where you’ll fill out all the necessary paperwork before our visit, starting with the platform’s user agreement (pictured left).
You’ll need to have all the paperwork completed by our scheduled session; otherwise, your appointment will be rescheduled. If you have questions about any of the paperwork, please shoot me an email at bailey@homebodytherapytn.com!
Where we will meet
The office is located in the Collins Seed building, just off the square and across the street from Jefferson’s. Unless you request a virtual appointment, I will default our appointment to in-person at the office.
When you arrive for your appointment, you can enter through the door (pictured), take the elevator across from the entrance or the stairs to the right of the door, and wait in the lobby (pictured below).
Text me when you arrive, and I will be with you shortly!
105 N High St. Winchester
If we are meeting virtually
You will fill out the paperwork as detailed above, and before your session time, you will receive a text and/or an email with our session link via SimplePractice. Requirements for meeting virtually include: (1) being in a quiet, secure, confidential space; (2) being free from distractions; (3) being fully clothed; and (4) not driving or riding in a car.
If we originally scheduled for in-person and you’d like to switch to virtual, let me know! In most cases, telehealth sessions are clinically appropriate, and making the switch is easy.
A few things to remember
If you need to cancel your appointment, please do so with 24+ hours’ notice; otherwise, the full session fee will be charged, per the practice policies and fee agreement. You can cancel by texting, calling, emailing, sending a secure message via the portal, or using the portal to cancel directly.
If you are 15+ minutes late , your appointment will be canceled and billed at the full fee as a “no show,” per the practice policies and fee agreement.
Sessions are confidential; however, there are limits to what remains confidential. These limits include:
if you are a danger to yourself
if you are a danger to others
if you are aware of someone else being abused or harmed
if I am subpoenaed by a judge
if you give me permission to share with someone
If you need to reach me
You can contact me directly by either emailing bailey@homebodytherapytn.com, texting/calling 931-463-1740, or sending me a secure message through the client portal. I will do my best to respond within 24-48 hours.
Please note that emailing, texting, and calling are not as secure as the portal.
